The aim is to develop, finance and operate renewable energy projects and to mobilize private investment in these renewable energy projects to meet the rising energy needs of southern Africa and avoid greenhouse gas emissions. The specially-founded company rAREH, a public-private partnership, will work on-site through project development teams and use the funds revolvingly. rAREH shall identify new renewable energy projects and drive their development at least until COD of the projects.
