Dear Colleagues, The Power, Energy, Climate and Green Growth (PEVP) complex, jointly with the World Bank cordially invite you to two panel discussions on the release of their energy regulatory index reports on Thursday, 8 December 2022, from 1300-15:00 GMT. Since 2018, the Bank has conducted surveys on the level of development of Regulatory Frameworks in the electricity sector in Africa. Every year, the Bank, through the Electricity Regulatory Index for Africa (ERI), continues to inspire African countries to achieve better electricity sector performance through regulatory framework reforms. Similarly, the World Bank has assessed the regulatory frameworks within the sector, including under the report on Rethinking Power Sector Reform in the Developing World. The launch event will bring together government officials, including regulatory entities, ministries in charge of finance, power pools and regional economic communities, development finance institutions, and other private stakeholders.
